The Research Group was born at the Department of Public Health,
University of Torino, in 2003.
Its mission is to foster the development of evidence-based
rules and recommendations to reduce the impact of injuries in children
and adolescents.
This goal is accomplished with the adoption of the strictest criteria
of high-quality data collection and the highest standards in scientific
publication and results dissemination.
The group is promoting independent research on both methodological
and substantive aspects of injury-related issues. It works in strict
cooperation with international research groups and institutions, as well
as international and local scientific associations.
The group is actively involved in several research projects, funded
by national and international agencies.
The group is currently leading the EU Registry "Susy Safe", which is
focused on foreign bodies injuries in children 0-14 years of age.
